Q1 2024 Performance of Top Carpooling Apps in Europe on Android

In the first quarter of 2024, Europe's Android users showed varying levels of engagement with leading carpooling and ridesharing applications. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a clear picture of the market dynamics for these services.

Bolt: Request a Ride sustained a steady download count, starting at 183K in the first week of January and peaking at 173K towards the end of March. The app's weekly active users saw a slight fluctuation, initially at 1.74M, dipping to 1.62M mid-quarter, and then slightly recovering to 1.73M.

Yandex Go — taxi and delivery experienced a decline in downloads, from 214K to 152K, over the quarter. Weekly active users also saw a downward trend, starting strong at 4.66M but ending the quarter at 4.33M.

Uber - Request a ride showed a more variable download pattern, with an initial 178K downloads that dipped to 139K and then rebounded to around 155K. Its active users presented a more stable scenario, hovering around 4.6M to 4.8M throughout the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus downloads varied, starting at 87K, decreasing to around 62K, and then increasing again to 80K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users mirrored this trend, beginning at 791K, dipping to 617K, and then rising to 706K.

Lastly, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver downloads maintained a fairly consistent range between 40K and 48K. Weekly active users remained steady, with a slight decrease from 356K at the beginning of the quarter to around 355K at its close.
